Walk of the weight!

You don’t have to be an olympic gold medalist to be fit, you don’t need to run 5 miles a day, heck you don’t even need to be part of a gym.

Recently I’ve taken to walking a lot more. I was probably in the region of 30 miles a week and that’s without exerting myself. This could be walking to the supermarket rather than driving, walking to work or going on a countryside walk with your four legged friends.

I love it, being in the fresh air and taking in nature is amazing and the fact that I’m burning calories at the same time makes me that little bit happier. Now depending on the pace of your walk and the incline you can usually burn around 100 calories per mile. So if you walk 3 miles then you’ve probably burnt off the majority of your breakfast.

You see the point I want to make to all of my readers is that you don’t have to be a fitness fanatic like me to be fit. you’ll be amazed that if you start walking a couple of times a week the pounds will start to drop off.

I mean really why would you want to sit on the sofa when you could be in the outdoors? Like I said you don’t have to exert yourself but jumping on your feet and walking will help.

Always remember during any form of exercise keep hydrated and make sure you are eating a balanced diet 🙂
